2015 VisREU Final Checklist

The following document/items must be completed and uploaded on or before July 24, 2015

• Barre 2004 Key Fob ($50 for lost or unreturned fob)
• Return any non-perishable items that can be used for VisREU16: pots, pans, etc.,
• Midterm presentation: PDF and PPTX formats Both Formats Required
• Final Abstract (approved by research mentors): PDF and Word formats Both Formats Required
• Final Poster (approved by research mentor): PDF and Power Point formats Both Formats Required
  
• Visualizations: Individual graphics/images/visualizations saved in separate files in JPG format
  if you have 5 visualizations in your final presentation/poster you should save each visualization in a separate file, resulting in 5 .jpg files should be uploaded. The image files should be saved using the following filename convention: FirstInitialLastName_Fig#. If your name is Johnny Dent your image filenames should be saved as JDent_Fig1.jpg, JDent_Fig2.jpg, . . . JDent_Fig# where # is the next number in the series of images.
• Figure Captions document: this document should contain figure captions (text) for each of the individual visualization you upload; from the previous item on the list, the Captions Document should have one caption for each of the figures. Word or text file only
• Milestone Report: Final report describing project milestones. The report should list the original milestones, details on which miletones were achieved, which milestones were not achieved. If milestones were not achieved, the report should speak to why the milestones were not reached, what challenges were faced. The report should also have a FUTURE WORK section. This section should provide your toughts on the direction of the project going forward, what would you do if you had more time?
• Project Webpages: must be up-to-date with summaries for all 8-weeks
• Equipment: Return equipment (where applicabile)
• Project Data: Upload all data files to Palmetto and to the shared box folder
• Documentation: Document your work/code etc., upload all documentation files to your plametto account and to the shared box folder
• Data Usage Agreement: Reveiw the Data Usage Agreement and comply

ALL of the documents above plus the following documents must be received BEFORE the final stipend is disbursed

• Final Paper: The paper should be in the ACM template format
• Final Paper must have a FUTURE WORK Section


• In your own words: You should post your writing samples to your web pages. Creat
  • Create a new section on your webpage AFTER Week8 called: "In My Own Words"
  • Post your writing samples to this section
  • You can either create a hyperlink to the documents or
  • You can put the samples in HTML format and include them on the webpage. If this option is taken make sure you use H1 tags for the titles to separate the two writings.
